Our Holistic Health Practitioner, Amanda Costello, CPhT, would like to provide you with information that can contribute to your well-being. She consults with people on various topics including, but not limited to, the below mentioned concerns:

ADD/ADHD – Attention Deficit Disorder/Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

Adrenal Fatigue - Adrenal Fatigue is a health disorder that can affect anyone who experiences persistent or severe emotional or physical stress. It is also an important contributing factor in health conditions ranging from allergies to obesity. Despite its prevalence in our modern world, Adrenal Fatigue has generally been ignored and untreated by the medical community. In order to help the many individuals who suffer from this problem regain their health and vitality, Dr. Wilson wrote the book, Adrenal Fatigue: The 21st Century Stress Syndrome.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome – Those who have received a diagnosis of chronic fatigue syndrome, must satisfy two criteria: Have severe chronic fatigue of six months or longer duration with other known medical conditions excluded by clinical diagnosis; and concurrently have four or more of the following symptoms: substantial impairment in short-term memory or concentration; sore throat; tender lymph nodes; muscle pain; multi-joint pain without swelling or redness; headaches of a new type, pattern or severity; unrefreshing sleep; and post-exertional malaise lasting more than 24 hours. The symptoms must have persisted or recurred during six or more consecutive months of illness and must not have predated the fatigue.

Fibromyalgia – Disorder that primarily affects muscles and their attachments to bone. It does not cause joint deformity. Fibromyalgia is characterized by general muscle pain, stiffness, fatigue, sleeplessness, and numerous tender points at the sites where muscles join to bones.

Food Sensitivities – Food sensitivities can lead to inflammation in the GI tract which can lead to a plethora of health concerns/issues. Testing for food antibodies may be the answer to underlying GI disturbances.

Gastro-Intestinal Disturbances – heartburn, GERD, bloating, gas, chronic diarrhea and/or constipation.

Heart Health – Diet, exercise, and supplement recommendations for a healthy cardiovascular system.

Heavy Metal Toxicity – Heavy metal toxicity can result in damaged or reduced mental and central nervous function, lower energy levels, and damage to blood composition, lungs, kidneys, liver, and other vital organs.

Herbal Detoxification – Detoxification is essential for the restoration, maintenance, and promotion of cellular health. Every cell in the body can be a powerhouse of energy. As we rid the body of toxicity and acidosis, the innate healing power of the cell and of the body unfolds.

Irritable Bowel – Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a “syndrome,” meaning a group of symptoms. The most common symptoms of IBS are abdominal pain or discomfort often reported as cramping, bloating, gas, diarrhea, and/or constipation. IBS affects the colon, or large bowel, which is the part of the digestive tract that stores stool. IBS is not a disease. It’s a functional disorder, meaning that the bowel doesn’t work, or function, correctly.

Natural Hormones (bio-identical hormones, compounded hormones) – Bio-identical hormones are hormones which have been synthesized in a laboratory to have the same chemical/molecular structure as those naturally produced by the human body. Bio-identical hormones are mostly available only by prescription and they have been prescribed for years. These hormones are generally compounded (mixed together) at a compounding pharmacy and individualized for the client based on family history, symptoms, and laboratory testing. There are a few commercially available “branded” bio-identical hormones available on the market in specific doses.

Skin Care – All natural, organic skin care, no chemicals or artificial preservatives.

Weight Loss - Diet recommendations, exercise tips, and supplementation.
